The Role:
The Senior Tax Accountant oversees all the company’s tax matters (VAT, periodic and annual filings, and any other tax requirements), ensuring full compliance and providing guidance on potential tax implications. The role also supports cross-functional Procure-to-Pay initiatives by improving processes through automation, partnering with IT to enhance finance systems, and defining operational KPIs while enforcing sound accounting policies and principles.
Responsibilities:
- Deal with all the tax aspects of the company including VAT, periodical filing, annual filing and any other Tax matters
- Ensure tax compliance and provide insight on potential tax implications
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects for the Procure-to-Pay organization including system implementations and operational improvements
- Establish business process framework and perform process assessments leveraging automation
- Work closely with IT to enhance existing finance systems
- Define and benchmark operational KPIs
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Job Requirements:
- 4-6 years of proven working experience in Accounting/Tax department
- BSc in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to deal with large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Qualifications:
- SAP knowledge
- MSc in Accounting or Finance
- Class A professional ID
- Previous experience with Retail company
