We are currently looking for a Civil Site Engineer to join our Construction department, part of our M Power Projects, as a member for the site team to supervise the erection of civil and steel structures.
Your role will encompass:
- Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and other professionals to understand project requirements. Contribute to the development of project plans and specifications and provide input during the design phase to ensure feasibility and adherence to regulations.
- Site Inspection: Conduct site inspections to assess the condition of the land and gather relevant data. Collaborate with surveyors to establish reference points and benchmarks on the construction site.
- Construction Management: Supervise and manage construction activities to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and timelines. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and conflicts.
- Material Procurement: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and spare parts necessary for civil construction works.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing the project budget by tracking expenses related to civil works and providing input for cost control measures.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for the construction team and other personnel. Address safety concerns and incidents as they arise.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including project reports, drawings, schedules, and as-built documents for civil works.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical issues, conflicts, and challenges that may arise during construction and collaborate with the project team to find effective solutions to problems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. ,
- Previous experience in a construction site is a plus. ,
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques. ,
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software. ,
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. ,
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets and schedules. ,
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. ,
