We are currently looking for a Electrical Engineering Coordinator to join our team as part of the Grid & Digital Solutions department of the M Power Projects division, for the construction of the EGL1, a collaborative effort between National Grid Electricity Transmission and SP Transmission, aiming to transmit renewable energy from Scotland to England.

These stations, responsible for converting direct current to alternating current, play a crucial role in the efficient and reliable transmission of 2GW of green energy through a 190km subsea HVDC cable, powering over two million homes in the UK.

Your role will encompass:

• Supervise the Engineering Activities for the project, related to Medium and High Voltage System
• Review of technical specifications in line with project’s technical requirements
• Review of technical studies
• Review of drawings, schematics, cable lists, wiring diagrams
• Drafting RfQs for equipment · Evaluation of technical offers from suppliers
• Technical review and coordination of the deliverable design documents from suppliers
• Ensure compliance of final design documents and drawings with the technical specifications of the project Owner
• Be Involved in interface, project meetings with equipment Vendors, other design disciplines and Project Owner representatives
• Participation in factory acceptance tests
• Coordinate technical interfaces
• Coordinate the Engineering Activities for the project together with the other engineering disciplines such as Mechanical ,Civil & Architectural Engineering
• Provide technical assistance, support and troubleshooting to the site construction team and site commissioning team

What you bring to the role:

• At least 4 years of experience in power industry (HV/MV substations , power plants) and/or large-scale construction projects)
• Excellent knowledge of the English language.
• Experience in at least one field of Medium or High voltage systems shall be considered an advantage. o MV Switchgears o HV Substations o Protection & Control o Power Systems Analysis o Motors/Diesel generators
• Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of at least one power systems analysis software (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSS/E) shall be considered an advantage
• Good background in electrical systems, familiar with international and European standards
