We are currently looking for a Site Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join our team in Amyntaio.
Your role will encompass:
- Administration, coordination, and daily hands-on involvement in Health, Safety, and Environmental matters are essential aspects of this role
- The HSE Manager collaborates closely with the METKA EGN QHSE Manager, Project Manager, Engineers, and Workers
- Responsibilities include establishing safe work systems with external subcontractors working on our solar plants and liaising with client representatives and local authorities as needed
- Regular reporting to both the QHSE Manager and Project Manager is a key duty for the SHSEM
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering ,
- 2+ years’ experience in construction projects, preferably solar energy, as an Engineer ,
- 3+ years’ experience as a Safety Engineer or HSE supervisory roles in construction projects ,
- Working knowledge of QHSE Management Systems (OHSAS 180001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001) ,
- Qualifications in HSE ,
- Qualification in Electrical Work ,
- Experience of managing subcontractors and ensuring all HSE rules are efficiently communicated, implemented, and monitored. ,
- Experience of conducting HSE Inspections and Audits – producing related Reports ,
- Experience of conducting Accident / Incident investigation, analysis, and reporting ,
- Experience of training ,
- Thorough knowledge of local and European HSE legislation and regulations, codes of practice and standards, especially regarding construction works ,
- Ability to efficiently develop and implement all health, safety & environmental programs & training on site ,
- Ability to prepare QHSE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements in English and Greek language ,
- Ability to develop and keep records of all QHSE documents required by legislation and company policy ,
- Ability to work within matrix organization and directly manage others. ,
- Outstanding communication ability with all level of the organization and with the external parties. ,
- Excellent use of English language ,
- IT literate with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills ,
- Driving License,
