About the role
We are looking for a Product Developer/Production Coordinator at Celestino to support our growing Design and Buying departments. Your main goal will be to deliver the end-to-end product development process across all product categories and act as a cross functional liaison with external suppliers and head office teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Design, ensuring their vision is feasibly translated into product
- Establish effective working relationships with suppliers and develop a strong working knowledge of their capabilities
- Collaborate with and communicate across Design, Production, Garment Technology & Merchandising teams to ensure all interests are represented in deliverables
- Understand aesthetic and cost demands and communicate them effectively and in timely manner to suppliers
- Ensure initial product costings are in line with margin targets and manage cross costings where necessary
- Organize an excellent file maintenance system of purchase requests, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and other important documentation
- Maintain excellent professional communication with suppliers & review of their capabilities
- Responsible for timely handover of collection planning with feedback from internal stakeholders
- Create product tech packs and manage fabric and trim library
- Monitor market changes, competitor prices, and products
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in Womenswear & Menswear development and/or production team
- Fluent in English
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a forward thinking & kind nature
- Positive attitude with the willingness to make real change in a growing organisation
- High awareness of general fashion trends and how they relate to pattern silhouettes, fabrics, styles, etc
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Willingness to travel overseas to visit manufacturers
