As a software generalist in our systems and solutions team, you are an important part of the R&D organization designing, developing, and verifying connectivity and positioning solutions to make IoT become a reality. You will be part of the entire product development life cycle, from inception to production. We are working with a wide range of IoT hardware and software components, such as IP-based services, cloud services, network and product security, radio protocols, sensors and peripherals, open and closed source software frameworks, and libraries.
The function supports the systems development by advising and specifying software requirements, defining architectures and tests for customer-oriented embedded applications, and implementing software solutions and proof-of-concepts. The role therefore requires experience of embedded software application development, and a willingness to learn many other software and system aspects.

Development of software architectures and implementations in connectivity and positioning solutions for the Internet of Things
Coordination and collaboration with other system disciplines through requirement specifications, design- and test plans and documentation
Sample application development and feature demonstrations for proof-of-concepts
Accompanying product development teams throughout implementation and verification
Support of application engineering in dealing with specific customer requests (solution design, design reviews, problem resolutions)
University degree in electrical engineering or computer science (or equivalent)
At least 3 years of experience in software development
Proficient in C/C++ programming of embedded, real-time systems
Wireless knowledge in general
Knowledge in IP networking, cloud computing
Good interpersonal skills. Be able to collaborate with internal and external partners.
Great communication skills. At ease with customer interaction
Willingness to travel (after covid-19!) to customer sites and to events
English written and spoken (company’s language)
Holder of Greek work permit
Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi knowledge in particular
GCC, embedded debuggers (e.g. Lauterbach, ST-Link), MS Visual Studio
Scripting languages (e.g. python)
Application programming in a Windows and/or Linux environment
Version control (GIT, SVN)
Communication interfaces like SDIO, SPI, I2C, UART, USB
