Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for professional development and is seeking to attract an Accountant to join our Finance team.
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records, managing end-to-end accounting processes, and supporting the financial operations of our European subsidiaries. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to efficient and transparent financial reporting within an international environment.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Perform accounting entries, maintain ledgers, and reconcile accounts.
- Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting records with Greek Accounting Standards and IFRS.
- Support the preparation and coordination of audits, as well as internal financial controls and procedures.
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate postings and reconciliations.
- Assist in developing and implementing key financial policies and procedures for European subsidiaries.
- Provide financial and accounting guidance to Operations Teams.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MSc considered an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with solid knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards and good understanding of IFRS (German GAAP will be considered an asset).
- Proven hands-on experience with SAP (preferably SAP S/4HANA) – mandatory requirement.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken – mandatory requirement.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management, able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator with strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
- Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable operating in an international environment; willingness to travel when required.
