The role

Responsibilities:

• Supervises all phases of the construction process
• Collaborates with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Assists in creating and tracking budget for all assigned developments
• Plans and monitors projects, prepares project plans and manages risks, including the development of contingency plans, issues, and dependency logs
• Performs site safety inspections on developments in construction
• Performs contract control
• Performs payment certification
• Updates project schedule; ensures project quality control and establishes overall project logistics
• Provides weekly and monthly reporting on development operations

Qualifications/People characteristics:

• 5 year degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or relevant field
• Approximately 3 – 5 years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in the Retail industry
• Experience in quantity surveying (costs & contracts)
• Experience in all areas of construction, from design to completion
• Experience in writing reports in English for senior management
• Knowledge of budgeting and expenses forecasting
• Expert in AutoCAD – ArchiCAD, MS Project and MS Office
• Excellent use of the English language, both written and oral
• Critical thinking with the ability to discern key issues and find solutions to problems
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
• Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
