As a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer in PublicNEXT, reporting to the QA Manager, you will be responsible for creating detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases and to execute manual and automated test scenarios. You will need to identify, document and track any bugs during the testing period and perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. You will work together with many different teams to ensure quality assurance standards are implemented throughout the PublicNext organization.

Responsibilities

– Play an active part in an agile team throughout the lifecycle on the analysis, design, development & testing

– Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

– Interpret and implement quality assurance standards

– Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

– Execute manual and automated test cases

– Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

– Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system

– Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

– Automate test cases and procedures

– Support User Acceptance Testing

– Improve/add procedures for most efficient testing of the products

Requirements

– University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline  ,

– 1-2 years of proven experience in designing, planning and execution of software testing strategies for QA ,

– Sound knowledge of software development lifecycle for enterprise scale projects with Agile methodologies or Test-Driven ,

– Development and continuous integration processes ,

– Experience in: Issue & Project tracking tools (Jira and Atlassian product stack) ,

– Familiar with SQL, XML, JSON, SOAP, and REST ,

Nice to have:

– Knowledge in Java and

– Experience in Automation Testing tools (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber & Soap UI) and Defect Tracking Tools (Bugzilla)
