As a Business Intelligence Reporting & Insights Manager, you will be at the forefront of Public Group’s data-driven strategy in the omnichannel retail landscape. You will lead a dynamic team, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, accurate, and actionable business reports that support strategic decision-making across all channels and departments of the company (e.g., Finance, Ecommerce, Commercial, and Marketing). This role demands a unique mix of analytical thinking & data proficiency, team management, and a keen understanding of retail business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Report Development and Management:

• Lead the design and creation of complex BI reports, dashboards, and data models to facilitate real-time decisions and forecasting.
• Understand and translate business requirements into reporting deliverables, including ad hoc inquiries, automated reports, and interactive dashboards.
• Ensure all reporting procedures adhere to company and data governance standards.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Manage and support a team of BI professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, and data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with BI engineering teams to ensure alignment on data infrastructure, data warehouse changes, and new functionalities.
• Collaborate with various departments to identify their reporting needs, ensuring the developed reports are aligned with strategic objectives.

Data Quality and Integrity:

• Establish and maintain protocols for ensuring data accuracy, including cross-checking data and validation.
• Work closely with data governance committees to help define data quality standards and ensure compliance across all reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Partner with department heads, providing insights and analytics support that informs strategy and operational decisions.
• Present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in the BI space and recommend improvements.
• Be always up to date with emerging technologies that can be integrated into the Reporting Universe (e.g. AI).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business, or related field.  Master’s Degree preferred. ,
• Minimum of 5-6 years in a BI role, with experience in retail or omnichannel environment preferred. ,
• Proven experience in managing a team consisting of reporting analysts.
• Advanced knowledge of BI tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.). ,
• Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics (Universal & GA4). ,
• Strong understanding of databases and SQL. ,
• Experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) is a plus. ,
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects with tight deadlines. ,
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into concise visual reports and presentations. ,
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders. ,
