Description
MYTILINEOS, a leading industrial company with a strong international presence in four Business Units, Metallurgy, Sustainable Engineering Solutions, Power & Gas, and Renewables & Storage Development (RSD) is currently seeking to hire a Site Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor based in Serres.
This role of Site Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor will require the administration, coordination, and everyday hands-on involvement in all Health Safety and Environmental issues. The Site Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor works closely with QHSE Manager, the Project Manager, the Engineers, and the Workers. Additionally, he/she is responsible for ensuring safe systems of work are in place externally with the subcontractors carrying out work at our solar plants. This includes liaising with the client’s representatives and local Authorities when required. The Site Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor should report regularly to the QHSE Manager and Project Manager.
Requirements
As Site Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor you need to have the following skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
- 1 or above years’ experience as a Safety Engineer or HSE supervisory roles in construction projects.
- Experience in managing subcontractors and ensuring all HSE rules are efficiently communicated, implemented, and monitored.
- Experience in conducting HSE Inspections and Audits – Producing Reports
- Experience in conducting Accident / Incident investigation, analysis, and reporting
- Experience in training
- Thorough knowledge of Greek and European HSE legislation and regulations, codes of practice, and standards, especially regarding construction works.
- Ability to efficiently develop and implement all health, safety & environmental programs & training on-site.
- Ability to prepare HSE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements in English and Greek language
- Ability to bridge conflicting interests of concerned parties.
- Good analytical thinking with the ability to spot noncompliance and potential risks.
- Outstanding communication ability with all levels of the organization and with external parties.
- Excellent use of the English language
- IT literate with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills
- Driving License
Desirable
- 1 year experience in construction projects, preferably solar energy, as an Engineer.
- Qualification in Electrical Works
- Qualifications in HSE
- Working knowledge of QHSE Management Systems (OHSAS 180001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001)
