Description
MYTILINEOS, a leading industrial company with a strong international presence in four Business Units, Metallurgy, Sustainable Engineering Solutions, Power & Gas and International Renewables & Storage Development is currently seeking to hire a Mechanical Site Engineer (Energy Efficiency)/ (Building Services) for the Sustainable Engineering Solutions Business Unit.
The holder of the role will have the daily supervision of construction works and monitoring of projects’ progress at construction sites ensuring compliance to contractual requirements, as well as quality and safety standards.
Main responsibilities
- Monitors and manages the daily progress of construction projects, ensuring that the project/ contract specifications and requirements are met
- Coordinates and supervises construction workers/ contractors and ensures that daily works are executed appropriately
- Ensures the safety of construction sites by making safety inspections and enforcing building and safety guidelines, regulation and protocols
- Coordinates preparation of drawings, deviations from baseline, and provides input for the As Built drawings
- Analyzes, manages, and mitigates project risks
- Works cooperatively with the Project Manager and updates on project progress
- Supports Project Management & Construction team on performing quality assurance
- Provides support on monitoring costs throughout construction projects
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Master’s degree will be considered an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant position
- Previous experience in heavy buildings-HVAC projects (e.g. hotels, hospitals, malls)
- Previous experience in co-generation or tri-generation projects (combined heat, power and cooling) would be considered a plus
- Familiarity on building and HSE standards
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of AutoCad
- Knowledge of MS Project would be considered a plus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Very good command of the English language, written and verbal
