We are currently looking for an Operation & Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join our team.
Your role will encompass:
- Monitor the operation of E/M equipment and supervises & supports unscheduled maintenance
- Identification of a malfunction, possible solutions and justified recommendations leading to an action plan for optimized solutions.
- Suggest technical specifications of scheduled maintenance about internal and grid connection Electromechanical (E/M) equipment and support the preparation, management and supervision of related works and contracts.
- Work with his supervisor, site engineers and technicians in on order to implement and follow the procedures of safe operation of electrical equipment.
- Identifies and prevents electrical related risks regarding personnel and equipment. Supports the issuance of work permits and lock-out-Tag-out procedures by the Site Engineers
- Collaborates with services subcontractors, suppliers, IPTO and DNO (ΑΔΜΗΕ-ΔΕΔΔΗΕ) regarding E/M equipment, including MV/MV substations, grid connection (underground and overhead lines), HV/MV substations etc.
- Prepare action plans, technical proposals, and cost estimates, for the electrical MV interconnection systems improvements and upgrades.
- support towards the local operation and maintenance needs, both in contracts and in technical services and will act as a project manager for implementing technical or managerial projects
- Elaborates and suggests the annual budget of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of E/M equipment
- Supervises scheduled and major unscheduled maintenance of E/M equipment at several locations in Greece, when required
- Perform project site inspections and occasionally on-site handling of incidents that demand physical presence.
- In general assist and support the daily needs and projects of RES O&M department
What you bring to the role:
- Diploma of Electrical Engineer, member of Technical Chamber of Greece ,
- Working experience of at least 5 years in operation and maintenance of E/M equipment, including HV/MV substations, MV/MV substations, relays etc. Hands-on experience on RES power plants E/M equipment will be a plus. ,
- Knowledge and at least 2 years hands-on experience on switching and grounding of HV & MV equipment including circuit breakers, disconnect switches and all related components as necessary. ,
- Good knowledge of protection schemes and relays operation and programming ,
- Perfect knowledge of electrical drawings ,
- Perfect knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, etc ,
- Knowledge of load flow and short circuit S/W will be considered as additional asset ,
- Availability for short term site visits at power plants locations from time to time, according to needs ,
- Very good knowledge of English language, including technical glossary ,
- Communication and interpersonal skills,
- Organizational skills, meeting time schedules and deadlines ,
- Driving license and ability to drive over rough terrain and high altitude ,
