We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal EPC Europe team, part of our Legal Division, in our Offices in Thessaloniki or Athens.
By joining this role, you will assume a pivotal position in delivering sophisticated and prompt legal advice to the EPC business in Greece. Your responsibilities will span the entirety of the contract chain, including tasks such as managing tenders, procurement, EPC and O&M contracts, as well as overseeing supply and subcontracting agreements. Your contribution will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of these processes.
Your role will encompass:
- Provide timely legal advice and support throughout the EPC and O&M contract chain
- Drafting, negotiation and completion of EPC Contracts, O&M Contracts , subcontracts and supply contracts
- To assist the project teams in the management of EPC and O&M contracts and the related supply and subcontracts to ensure that the Company and the counterparties comply with their contractual obligations
- Follow systems and procedures within the Legal Team and the business
- Assist in formulating the processes and procedures of the Legal Team
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and reallocate work if necessary, to meet deadlines
- Liaise with external law firms to obtain fee quotes and to manage and approve legal spend within procedures to be followed in the Legal Team
What you bring to the role:
- Qualified Greek lawyer ,
- Preferred qualifications for this position include a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Greece, with at least 2 years gained in private practice. ,
- Candidates should have essential experience of EPC contracting, subcontracts and supply contracts in renewable energy projects, and familiarity with the FIDIC suite of documents would be considered advantageous. ,
- Member of relevant professional body in Greece ,
- Proficiency in MS Office ,
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language ,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills ,
- Availability for travel ,
