Description
MYTILINEOS is a leading global industrial and energy company with a strong presence in all five continents covering two business Sectors, the Energy Sector, and the Metallurgy Sector, is currently seeking to hire a Contract Managers based in Athens
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the whole life cycle of contracts for different projects. Understanding the contract structure for the project
- Develop an understanding of commercial terms and conditions for implemented contracts and knowledge transfer of contract conditions to the wider project team
- Ensuring that the project team is following both company and project-specific processes
- Compilation and distribution of tender packs
- Facilitation of the tender review and evaluation process including organizing tender meetings, managing clarification registers, a compilation of internal tender evaluations
- Preparation, negotiation, and management of approvals and execution processes (with input from the M Renewables Legal department), in respect of contracts, review of the scope of works, contract amendments, and variations, including the use of electronic construction and document management systems
- Ensure back-to-back flow down of all relevant subcontractor obligations and main terms and conditions under the EPC contracts to subcontractors/suppliers in the corresponding subcontracts
- Preparing a briefing on projects’ main characteristics and time schedule for the project team and Legal team. Preparing and maintaining a project matrix (contracts tracker) for each project, including collecting information from the project team
- Resolving contract payments or other commercial disputes and conferring with subcontractors and other business units concerning contract payments and compliance
- Coordinating with the project and legal teams for contract sign-off and execution, including compliance with internal processes and procedures for contract approvals and execution
- Provision and analysis of information for the negotiation of contracts, variations, and claims for contracted services
- Preparation of regular reports on the status of contracts, compliance/ status with regard to Italian legislation, Government Policy, and other requirements
- Maintain accurate and detailed contract records, including monitoring and documenting all contractual disputes
- Ensure service providers’ commercial obligations (such as certificates of currency and security) are met
- Prepare contractual notices and issue communications under the contracts. Manage variation and/or extension of time and process variations and EOTs
- Developing, improving, and maintaining checklists, registers, and communications templates as required
- Developing and streamlining processes under the supervision of the M Renewables regional Senior Contact Manager
- Participation in regular project preconstruction and project progress meetings
- Drafting, preparation, and execution of internal and external correspondence on contractual matters as required.
- Effectively manage key stakeholders, client and supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of services, ensuring an in-house customer-focused delivery of services
- Managing folders in SharePoint. Filing relevant communications and documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, Commerce or related discipline
- Experienced in contract administration, procurement, and tendering within renewables, civil/mechanical/electrical, or construction industries.
- Legal knowledge and qualifications will be considered an advantage.
- Proactive administration of contracts for early identification of issues
- High attention to detail and accurate document management skills.
- Experience in contract negotiations/influencing skills
- Exceptional time management skills and highly organized approach to workload management
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated high-level judgment as well as experience in analytical problem-solving and decision making
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office skills (including Office 365 suite and SharePoint)
- Fluent in English (business proficiency)
- Knowledge of local Laws and regulations
- A minimum of 3 years (5 years for Contracts Manager) contract administration experience within renewables, civil/mechanical/electrical, or construction industries
