The Role

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be part of our warehouse operations evolution, by ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in order to achieve business targets and create an inspiring team environment. The Warehouse Team Leader is always on the ground to monitor and evaluate the performance of warehouse employees and ensure that work equipment is available. A Warehouse Team Leader works closely with the Supervisor to oversee the day to day activities of team members and to ensure operations run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules
• Ensure compliance to health, safety, and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment
• Ensure that vehicles, machinery, and equipment is well maintained and fit for their purpose
• Resolve any issues or conflicts where possible and elevate the issue to a more senior level
• Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change
• Train new team members

The ideal candidate should have:

• 3+ years of proven working experience in a warehouse position picking/packing orders
• Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures and protocol
• Experience in leading a team in a warehousing/logistics environment
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Previous exposure to systems (WMS) is a plus
• Time management skills and the ability to delegate
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
