Our client is a major multinational company, operates in the sector of retail, having more than 100 sites and 2500 employees across the country. We are looking to recruit an IT Network Supervisor.

The Role
The Network Supervisor is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization’s network systems. Has the responsibility for the selection, implementation, support, and assessment of networks as determined by the senior management.
Performs advanced analysis, analytics, and troubleshooting of networks, and proactively monitors network connectivity, and related network services. Leads the identification of problems and provides solutions to remediate or mitigate network infrastructure and or associated processes. He/She will also be the leader of the Networks team.
Performs redesign and configuration of local and wide area networks and associated network applications and services. Investigates and analyzes the feasibility of network requirements for systems, applications and develops formally documented network specifications. Provides a high level of service to the customers of the department and maintains a sense of urgency on all tasks to include the coaching and development of staff. This role participates in an on-call rotation to support stores, e-commerce, core data centers, and onsite/remote users. Experience with retail-based networks is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for configurations, deployment, and maintenance of IT network infrastructure.
- Primary interface responsible for network-related services carried out by the company’s installation vendors.
- Develop organizational structure and ongoing workflows to deliver/maintain rigorous networking standards and practices across the engineering staff and company.
- Designs install and configure network and security infrastructure and NMS/monitoring tools.
- Assists with the planning, design, research, and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software, and network technology and recommends modifications as required.
- Maintains documents and updates the network and security infrastructure, tests, and implements vendor security patches, implement workarounds for unpatched security vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoots problems with applications, network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliances, proxy servers, DNS appliances, and Wireless devices.
- Makes corrective actions when necessary following change control guidelines and policies.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or electrical engineering.
- Experience: 5-9 years of experience in networking and telecommunications.
- Any combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience with team management or project management.

- Technical Certification CCNA, CCNP
- Participates in 24×7 on-call rotations
- Retail Experience is preferred
- Advanced knowledge in enterprise SD-WAN, LANs, WANs, WLANs including routers, switches, network load balancers, and wireless access points
- Advanced knowledge in routing protocols: OSPF, RIP, BGP, and IGRP
- Advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocol troubleshooting ability, specifically with using protocol analyzers and/or sniffers
- Knowledge of firewalls, data encryption, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and other industry-standard techniques and practices
- Advanced TCP/IP packet analysis ability
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Αbility to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high-quality work products on time with minimal direction
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to use proven problem-solving approaches to most solutions
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
