Description

The job holder is responsible to provide his/her services within the field of software development supporting the management and configuration of Company’s software applications & systems to meet business objectives.

Accountabilities:

• Participates in the development, testing and maintenance of existing and new software applications and systems that support company’s needs
• Maintains efficient relationships with the various departments of the company facilitating the collection and documentation of user’s requirements on business needs, and providing them with adequate support in all software development issues and requests.
• Oversees and monitors software functionality and suggests improvement recommendations, where required.
• Assists in the migration of older applications (ASP.NET) to current technologies and refine integrations between applications
• Analyse and resolve technical and application problems, in accordance with established standards
• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status and progress of new business software application projects
• Conducts thorough testing on software applications, to ensure business requirements and goals are met and end-user requirements are fulfilled.

Professional attributes:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Networks or Information Technology
• Master degree in the relevant field will be considered as an asset
• At least 2 years of experience in a professional programming environment: developing in Microsoft .NET C#, Windows & Web applications, RESTful Web Services

• Basic knowledge of technologies such as Python, React.JS
• Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server databases.
• Strong knowledge of development methodologies, standards and procedures.
