Description
Fraport Greece is currently looking to grow its Technical Department Team by hiring a caliber and experienced Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate will be accountable for supervising all maintenance activities related to the facilities and systems of the Mechanical Engineering discipline in our 14 airports.
The role is located in our premises at Thessaloniki Airport.

What you will be doing:
- Supervise and monitor the overall implementation of Mechanical Engineering facilities’ preventive maintenance activities according to Preventive Maintenance Plan, and corrective maintenance actions with respect to the available budget funds.
- Secure effective utilization of available maintenance software tools.
- Implement assigned projects relevant to Mechanical Engineering facilities and systems, with respect to the set deadlines and quality standards.
- Conduct failures analysis and create a critical spare parts’ list to ensure the proper operation of all Mechanical Facilities.
- Monitor the implementation of personnel safety measures per corporate H&S directives.
- Measure maintenance suppliers’ and/or contractors’ performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Prepare ad-hoc and regular technical reporting per corporate requirements.
- Ensure the proper operation of the machinery and the necessary replacement.
- Participate in budget preparation, and monitoring.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Member of the Greek Technical Chamber (TEE).
- Minimum three years of previous working experience in facility management including maintenance of high-tech mechanical systems of large-scale installations under 24h/7d operation.
- Previous professional experience in contract administration, maintenance software tools utilization, spare parts market research, and stock monitoring & update.
- Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at a professional corporate level)
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Proficiency in specific engineering software (AutoCAD or 3D CAD) would be considered an asset.
- Capability in optimization of maintenance practices and service performance monitoring.
- Fulfilled Military Obligations (if appropriate).
