Description

Fraport Greece (FG), in the framework of the operation of the 14 Regional Airports, is currently looking to grow its Planning & Development team by hiring a competent “Fire Safety Engineer.”

The ideal candidate will be accountable for supporting the valuation and improvement of the fire safety standards within buildings and ensuring compliance with the applicable fire, construction, and any other relevant technical codes, standards, laws, and regulations.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure compliance with the applicable fire, building, and any other relevant technical codes, standards, laws, and regulations and informs for incompliances evaluating the importance of findings.
• Support the coordination of fire safety or regulatory compliance activities.
• Advise on improving the fire safety of FG properties and its Airport Users and develops relevant engagement programs.
• Prepare the necessary documentation, oversee the issuance of all required fire protection certificates, and maintain them in force.
• Support FG’s Departments related to properly implementing fire protection projects by anticipating and solving obstacles during the execution of works.
• Perform ad hoc audits and provide guidance on fire safety issues.
• Support the development of a regular performance monitoring reporting system related to fire safety inspections for all 14 airports to ensure continual improvement of fire safety management.
• Maintain an up-to-date version of the relevant evacuation plans drawings related to each airport and the appropriate communication and distribution.
• Participate in FG projects requiring building permits or fire protection studies. Advise architects & engineers on fire brigade regulations and other applicable technical codes, standards, and laws.

Requirements

• Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of working experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with applicable Fire Protection Codes, Regulations & Standards
• Fluency in English and Greek, oral and written, at a professional corporate level.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & AutoCAD.
• Proven experience in planning/monitoring/managing Fire Safety issues and Fire Protection measures for facilities & installations.
• Previous professional experience in large-scale design and construction projects.
• Fulfilled Military Obligations, if applicable.
