Description
Fraport Greece, in the framework of the operation of the 14 regional airports, seeks a professional “Airport Duty Manager” at Kerkyra Airport (CFU).
The position is under a rotating shift schedule and reports to the CFU Airport Manager.
Job Purpose
The Airport Duty Manager (ADM) is responsible for ensuring the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the entire airport following the provisions of the Aerodrome Operations Manual and all relevant regulatory documents, both domestic and international, during their assigned shift.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the assigned Airport.
- Monitor performance and prepare reports on airport operations, safety standards, and facility conditions.
- Supervise all Airport operational functions/activities (AOCC, Airside, and Terminal) either directly or through shift leaders and take appropriate corrective measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and established KPIs.
- Monitor and ensure performance in aviation safety, airport security, rescue and firefighting services, and facility management.
- Ensure implementation of and compliance with Airport User Regulations, traffic rules, driver permits, vehicle licensing standards for the airside, and identity and access control regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and infrastructure works at the Airport, in close cooperation with the relevant departments of FG, in line with the Management Agreement.
- Coordinate the inspection of airport areas and facilities to ensure that Health and Safety requirements are met and identify, document, and report any potential hazards for appropriate follow-up.
- Undertake and, where required, lead all necessary actions in line with the Airport Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in case of an emergency and/or drills, ensuring compliance and effective execution.
- Decide in cooperation with the Airport Manager (AM), on the required actions in case of operational disruptions.
- Monitor and ensure the proper implementation of the security-related legislation and the airport security plan in cooperation with the Airport Security Team.
- Review and approve the submitted Work Permits, provided they comply with the related corporate procedures and policies, and ensure the maintenance of records/audit trails.
- Ensure compliance with labor legislation, including staff working hours and employment conditions.
- Manage environmental protection matters, including pollution prevention, waste management, and compliance with environmental legislation and approved airport environmental terms.
- Liaise and coordinate with Ministries and other Public Authorities, including submission of applications to obtain all permits necessary for the safe and lawful operation of the Airport.
- Manage human resources activities at the Airport, in close cooperation with the relevant departments of FG, in line with the Management Agreement and FG Corporate Values, ensuring operational efficiency during shifts through staff performance monitoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate the organization of commercial activities at the Airport, in collaboration with the relevant departments of the Management Company.
- Oversee the organization of accounting and financial activities at the Airport, in collaboration with the relevant departments of the Management Company.
Requirements
- High School or Vocational Upper Secondary School Diploma. A University Degree will be considered a strong asset.
- At least ten years of strong previous professional employment in the Aviation Sector.
- RTF license will be considered a plus.
- Any Aviation operations-related Certificate will be considered an asset.
- Flight Dispatcher diploma/certification would be highly appreciated.
- Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at a professional corporate level).
- Advanced level in MS Office.
- Fulfilled military obligations if applicable.
