ELVALHALCOR – Copper Tubes Division
is searching for a detail-oriented and driven ENGINEERING BUYER, responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and evaluating proposals to join our Supply Chain team in our plant in Oinofyta, Voiotia, Greece
Role Description
• Follows company’s purchasing procedures, guidelines and policy
• Ensures the timely and correct ordering of all materials and services
• Establishes good communication & close cooperation with all interfacing departments
• Prepares and issues purchase orders and contracts to the awarded suppliers
• Handles logistics of the ordered materials, aiming at their timely and cost-effective delivery
• Negotiates with suppliers, evaluates their performance, and continuously seeks for alternative procurement sources for cost reduction
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Master’s degree will be considered an asset
• 3-5 years experience in a purchasing department, ideally in the industrial sector
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Strong computer proficiency, and advanced use of analytical software programs, e.g. Excel, Minitab
• SAP MM module knowledge will be considered an asset
• Team player
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High sense of responsibility with special emphasis on compliance with company’s procedures and code of conduct
