ELLAKTOR Group is looking for a “Senior Network Engineer” to develop and maintain functional and secure networks.

In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you.

You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Referring to the IT Operation Manager, the main tasks of the role are:

• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Implement and administer the data plan for new buildings and areas connected to the network. Coordinate the connection of new buildings to the Network with vendors and contractors
• Improvements in service performance and make recommendations to the IT Operations Manager

Requirements

Necessary qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science or a related subject
• Proven hands-on Senior Network Engineering experience
• CCNP, NS5 or higher
• Solid understanding of network operating systems
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Familiarity with access control models and network security
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools

Qualifications considered as an Asset

• Windows Servers Experience
• Driver’s license

Working experience

• 7+ years of experience in Networking Administration
• Working experience with security appliances, primarily Fortinet devices and Cisco (Ise, FMC)
• Working experience with Azure Networking (FWs , Vnet, NSG)
• Previous experience in OT environments will be appreciated
