We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team (based in Athens, Agia Paraskevi).

Your Key Responsibilities

Oversee the financial activities of the company ensuring accuracy, control and looking for cost reduction opportunities

Ensure that the company acts in a manner to minimize losses, fraud and maximize profit

Prepare monthly, annual, ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and presentations to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts

Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports

Suggest updates and improvements and take over the handling of projects for the further development of all accounting related – processes, procedures, interfaces, systems, and workflows

Oversee cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports

Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

Support month-end and year-end close process

Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported

Requirements

3 years of related work experience (previous experience in the Retail industry will be considered an asset)

Academic background (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or similar and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business)

Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English

Experienced with ERP systems (Navision would be desirable)

IFRS knowledge will be considered an asset

A professional qualification (CFA, ACCA etc.) will be considered an asset

Excellent analytical, project management, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal and teaming skills

Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work under tight deadlines

Willingness to learn, proactivity, openness to work in a multicultural environment
