Job Purpose: The Buyer searches and purchases essential materials/products for covering the company’s needs
Responsibilities/Results
The job holder:
- Places and monitors purchase orders for raw materials, packaging materials, promotional materials and finished products
- Monitors various reports & KPIs on purchase performance
- Ensures the best terms of pricing and quality for the company
- Identifies market trend for crucial materials
- Communicates effectively with various departments within the company
- Handles the transportation of materials/goods to the central warehouse
- Handles quality issues with the suppliers
Requirements
- BSc degree in Business Administration or Economics
- MSc degree in Supply Chain will be an asset
- Previous working experience 2-3 years in a similar position in a FMCG company
- Proficient level of English
- A second language will be considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and ERP (Microsoft NAV or SAP)
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Team spirit & adaptability
- Attention to detail
