About the role:
We are currently seeking a Digital Solutions Architect to join our Digital Solutions team and play a key role in delivering technical expertise on various software development projects for the Digital Department across all Aegean &Olympic Air digital channels. In this role, you will provide technical solutions for customer-facing digital developments ensuring that the software providers use best practices and optimization of developed backend components in our digital solutions and applications. What you will do:
- Analyze business and technical needs and propose appropriate technology solutions for new digital initiatives or enhancements to existing platforms
- Review and validate digital solutions proposed by external technology partners to ensure alignment with business, technical, and architectural requirements
- Ensure digital solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing
- Participate in technical analysis sessions with internal teams and third-party vendors, providing feedback on functional requirements and defining corresponding non-functional requirements
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of vendor-delivered external APIs and develop backend prototypes using modern technologies and relevant APIs
- Ensure comprehensive technical documentation is produced and maintained for all digital developments
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of delivered features using vendor public interfaces or graphical user interfaces
You fit, if you cover the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or in a related field
- Fluency in oral and written Greek and English
- 3 years of professional working experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of SOAP/XML, REST APIs and API design best practices
- Hands-on expertise in developing reusable APIs, artifacts/frameworks, reference architecture, design, development and QA best practices
- Previous experience in Microservices and Domain-Driver-Design, DevOps engineering will be considered a strong asset
