Trade Marketing Specialist

The Trade Marketing Specialist will be responsible for trade marketing activates across different channels and will collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to define assortment, promotional activities, display materials and planograms to achieve company sales, visibility, and market share objectives.

Education, competencies and skills:

  • University degree in business, trade marketing, marketing or related field required.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in structured FMCG out of which at least 3 years in Trade Marketing dept
  • Experience in the Food industry is preferred
  • Experience in Super Market channel is necessary, experience also in Tobacco channel is a plus
  • Proven understanding and delivery of local market planning
  • Proven understanding and delivery of marketing and commercial trade promotion strategies
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of principal IT tools
  • Capable in building strategic, multilevel and team work relationships
  • Energetic, organized and results orientated
  • Experience with retail audit research analysis will be considered an advantage

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to define trade marketing policies and channel plan strategies (canvass, assortment, display strategies, ideal display, promotional activities, loyalty programs, and planograms) to achieve sales, visibility and market share objectives.
  • Monitor the effects of the implemented trade activities so as to evaluate their efficacy, assess cost-benefit trade off and timely detect deviations from target objectives, so as to recommend eventual changes to the channel plan.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and competitor activities, providing innovative and effective counter activities to reinforce and improve PVM’s market position and spread best practices within the group.
  • Internationally share and export practice guidelines and case histories
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales team for the ideation, planning & budgeting, production, distribution and stock monitoring of point of sales material and permanent and promotional displays.
  • Work closely with supporting functions and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution of in store activities, including the purchase, delivery and distribution of material/displays according to operational priorities
  • Develop sales manual in cooperation with marketing and ICT.
  • Work closely with sales force, communicating strategic levers (assortment, planogram guidelines etc.) and taking into account received feedback so as to improve the channel plan strategy and related sell out.
